The iconic Hollywood director Brian De Palma will publish his debut novel, co-written by Susan Lehman titled Are Snakes Necessary?  DePalma directed films such as: Scarface, Carrie, The Untouchables, Dressed To Kill, Carlito’s Way and Mission Impossible.

Here is a synopsis of the novel:

Carrie 40th Anniversary Collector’s Edition Blu-ray Arriving From Scream Factory On October 11, 2016


Carrie from the legendary filmmaker Brian De Palma will celebrate its 40th anniversary and Scream Factory is celebrating four decades of the director’s classic Stephen King adaptation with a 2-disc collector’s edition Blu-ray set.

Available Oct. 11, the set features a 4K scan of the film’s original negative and nearly three hours of bonus features, including a featurette which revisits the film’s original locations, and new interviews with writer Lawrence D. Cohen, editor Paul Hirsch, actors Piper Laurie, P.J. Soles, Nancy Allen, Betty Buckley, William Katt, Edie McClurg, casting director Harriet B. Helberg, and director of photography Mario Tosi.
