Team Coco Presents Conan & Friends: An Evening Of Stand-Up And Investment Tips

Conan O’Brien will hit the road for the first time since 2010 when he begins his Team Coco Presents Conan & Friends: An Evening of Stand-Up and Investment Tips tour in Washington, D.C. on Friday, November 2. O’Brien will be joined by different groups of handpicked comics each night of the tour, bringing his unique comic sensibility and the voices of some of his favorite performers to venues all over the United States.

The comedians featured on Team Coco Presents Conan & Friends: An Evening of Stand-Up and Investment Tips have all worked closely with Team Coco over the years. From former and current CONAN writers to comedians who host monthly Los Angeles comedy shows with Team Coco, to CONAN: Without Borders travel partners, the tour will give fans a glimpse of the comedy ecosystem Team Coco continues to expand across all mediums, including a growing digital studio, merchandise, and many other new lines of business.

The tour will feature O’Brien along with performances from Rory Scovel (I Feel Pretty), Deon Cole (Barbershop, Black-ish), Ron Funches (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Black-ish), Laurie Kilmartin (Conan, Last Comic Standing), Taylor Tomlinson (Netflix’s The Comedy Lineup), Marina Franklin (HBO’s Crashing), James Veitch (Conan), Moses Storm (Father of the Year), and Flula Borg (Pitch Perfect 2, Curb Your Enthusiasm).

O’Brien added, “There are a lot of exciting changes coming up for me in 2019 and I wanted to kick it off this fall with an 18-city live tour. The idea that I hit the road for seven weeks was pitched by my wife, with the full backing of my children.”

Building on the promise of a recently announced joint venture with Turner, Team Coco Presents Conan & Friends: An Evening of Stand-Up and Investment Tips, will advance Team Coco’s philosophy of bringing comedy everywhere. The multi-city tour will allow O’Brien to intimately reconnect and interact with his passionate fanbase as he gears up for a leaner, more agile 30-minute show on TBS premiering January 2019. The tour, like the new format, gives O’Brien the flexibility to experiment and have fun with his audience in new ways.

Samuel Adams will serve as a partner of the tour to help fans experience a world of comedy across all platforms. The brand’s sponsorship will span TV, digital, social and on-the-ground activations. As a local Beantown brew, Samuel Adams will also bring two special shows to Boston, and take Conan O’Brien along for a trip to the Boston Brewery in one of the show’s iconic custom remotes.

Conan Without Borders: Italy Premieres April 11, 2018

TBS’ Conan will take the show internationally for the ninth time in three years as the popular host travels to Italy. Conan Without Borders: Italy will be a primetime special premiering Wednesday, April 11 at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) on TBS. For his latest adventure, O’Brien put a different spin on his usual travel shows bringing along fan favorite show staffer Jordan Schlansky.

During his week in Italy, Conan visited various sites throughout the country. He took a whirlwind road trip from Florence to Naples, meeting the people, and enjoying Italian food and culture. He rented a vintage 1962 Fiat, taking a drive through the Chianti wine country. He visited the hilltop Tuscan town of Cortona, where frequent visitor Jordan is honored by the mayor. Additionally, Conan does a guest turn on the popular Italian soap opera “Un Posto Al Sole.”

Conan Without Borders: Italy marks O’Brien’s ninth international adventure in the past three years. Most recently he traveled to Haiti. After hearing President Trump’s disparaging remarks about Haiti, O’Brien immediately announced his intentions to visit the island nation. There he showed the strength of the people and the beauty of the country. He has travelled to Mexico City where he shot an episode of Conan with the help of an all-Mexican staff, crew, guests Vicente Fox, Diego Luna and an all-Mexican studio audience. He has made headlines as the first American late-night host to shoot in Cuba in more than 50 years. He became the first American late-night personality ever to host a show from Armenia as well as South Korea. O’Brien has joined former First Lady Michelle Obama at the international Air Force Base in Doha, Qatar, to perform for the troops stationed overseas. In previous years, O’Brien has done special shows from New York, Chicago, Dallas, San Diego and Atlanta.

On a recent episode of Conan, host Conan O’Brien sought out and initiated a meeting with his team of unpaid interns in order to get to know them better. The hilarious meeting started off with Conan asking questions about himself and how they like working on the show. He received plenty of awkward responses and proved that, despite the rumors, he does not wear a wig.
