Watch The Black Lightning First Look Trailer

The CW has revealed the first look trailer for Black Lightning.

Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) is a man wrestling with a secret. As the father of two daughters and principal of a charter high school that also serves as a safe haven for young people in a New Orleans neighborhood overrun by gang violence, he is a hero to his community. Nine years ago, Pierce was a hero of a different sort. Gifted with the superhuman power to harness and control electricity, he used those powers to keep his hometown streets safe as the masked vigilante Black Lightning. However, after too many nights with his life on the line, and seeing the effects of the damage and loss that his alter ego was inflicting on his family, he left his Super Hero days behind and settled into being a principal and a dad. Choosing to help his city without using his superpowers, he watched his daughters Anissa (Nafessa Williams) and Jennifer (China Anne McClain) grow into strong young women, even though his marriage to their mother, Lynn (Christine Adams), suffered. Almost a decade later, Pierce’s crime-fighting days are long behind him…or so he thought. But with crime and corruption spreading like wildfire, and those he cares about in the crosshairs of the menacing local gang The One Hundred, Black Lightning returns — to save not only his family, but also the soul of his community.

Based on the characters from DC, Black Lightning is from Berlanti Productions and Akil Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti, Salim Akil & Mara Brock Akil, and Sarah Schechter. Black Lightning character was created by Tony Isabella with Trevor Von Eeden.

The Lost Boys Series Heads To The CW

1

The CW is making some long-range plans with Veronica Mars and iZombie creator Rob Thomas. The network is developing a Lost Boys series, based on the 1987 feature film directed by Joel Schumacher. Unlike the film, however, the Lost Boys series is planned to span the better part of a century. The first season will take place in San Francisco in 1967 with the plan being for each subsequent season to be set in a different decade, culminating in a final seventh season that will, by the time it airs, theoretically feature the characters in a contemporary 2020s setting.

The Lost Boys series will be executive produced by Thomas through his Spondoolie Productions. Other executive producers include Dan Etheridge and Danielle Stokdyk as well as Gulfstream Television’s Bill Bindley and Mike Karz. Gulfstream’s Juliana Janes will oversee for Warner Bros. Television.

Plans for the Lost Boys series arrive just as The CW prepares to begin the final season of their hit vampire series The Vampire Diaries. The eighth season will premiere on the channel October 21 with the first of 16 final episodes.

The Flash Costume Gets An Update For Season Two

The CW has released a new image of The Flash costume that will appear in season 2.

Following a pretty epic first season finale, “The Flash” season two aims to expand the small screen DC Universe. In fact, the plan is to go even further as Gustin previously revealed that season two will explore the multiverse. There’s also quite a few guest stars in store as, just last week, we learned that Michael Ironside will appear as Lewis Snart, the father of Wenworth Miller’s Leonard Snart (aka Captain Cold) and Peyton List’s Lisa Snart (aka Golden Glider).

Teddy Sears (“Masters of Sex,” “Raising the Bar”), meanwhile, is set to play Jay Garrick, well known to comic book fans as the first DC Comics character to take on the mantle of The Flash, while Shantel VanSanten will play police officer Patty Spivot, obsessed with metahumans and partners with Jesse L. Martin’s Detective Joe West.

Based on the characters from DC Comics, “The Flash” is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television. The series returns for season two on Tuesday, October 6, at 8/7c on The CW.

The Arrow) left Starling City with the hopes of beginning a new life. But will Oliver ever truly be able to leave behind his past as the Arrow, and, if so, what becomes of the team he has worked so hard to assemble? Will Diggle, Thea, and Laurel be left to continue Oliver’s crusade without him? And with Malcolm Merlyn having ascended to the top of the League of Assassins as the new Ra’s al Ghul, is anyone really safe? “Arrow” will premiere its fourth season on Wednesday, October 7 at 8:00pm ET/PT.
