General Mills Announces A Monster of A Sweepstakes

General Mills has announced a surprise giveaway for fans of its Monster Cereals. The company engaged an award-winning special effects artist to create 20-inch tall busts of three of its popular Monster Cereal characters – Count Chocula, Boo Berry and Franken Berry. General Mills charged Karlee Morse, an award-winning special effects artist who works in film and television, to have their cereal characters spring from box to bust.

Each bust stands 20-inches tall and took about 30 hours to mold and sculpt, and 15 hours to paint.

To win one of the three busts, consumers need to visit General Mills’ Instagram account and 1) “like” the official sweepstakes post featuring the three monsters, 2) name their favorite Monster Cereal in a comment and 3) use the hashtag #MonsterCerealSweepstakes.

Dunkin’ Shows Its Spicy Side With New Spicy Ghost Pepper Donut

Dunkin’ has baked up one of the most surprising treats ever to rise from its kitchens, the new Spicy Ghost Pepper Donut.

A deliciously daring donut that delivers the heat with every bite, the Spicy Ghost Pepper Donut is a classic yeast donut ring, topped with a strawberry flavored icing that features a bold blend of cayenne and ghost pepper, and finished with red sanding sugar for a sizzling look. The Spicy Ghost Pepper Donut will be on the menu for only a few hot minutes, available beginning today for a limited time at participating Dunkin’ restaurants nationwide until December.

Dunkin’ is also encouraging fans to show their own spicy side by surprising their friends with the Spicy Ghost Pepper Donut and capturing and posting the reactions on social media using #DunkinSpicySide.

French’s Yellow Mustard has partnered with Oskar Blues Brewery to introduce a Mustard Beer in honor of National Mustard Day.

The teams at Oskar Blues and French’s wanted to come together to create the brightest, boldest brew of the summer, just in time for National Mustard Day and backyard grilling. And what goes better with BBQ than Classic Yellow Mustard and beer? Nothing else, that’s what.

The beer itself is a light, summery wheat ale that was brewed with tart hints of citrus and of course, yellow mustard.

“This is mustard that’s sipped, not squeezed. For National Mustard Day, we created the brightest brewski you’ll ever taste, perfect for summer barbecues. It’s a semi-tart tropical wheat beer infused with citrus fruits to complement French’s Classic Yellow Mustard. This limited edition French’s Mustard Beer was available for purchase on August 1 and sold out immediately.

Sugar Cookie Flavored M&M’s Announced For Christmas This Year

Mars, Incorporated is already getting into the holiday spirit by announcing that M&M’s Sugar Cookie are being baked up in Santa’s workshop (aka their factory) for Christmas 2020.

The new M&M’s Sugar Cookie was created exclusively for the 2020 holiday season, a rep confirmed to Best Products. The candies feature a white chocolate, sugar cookie-flavored shell with a crispy center. Sugar cookies are a staple around Christmastime and the smell is enough to get anyone salivating. Now you can have the flavor simply by opening the bag.

“With Christmas nostalgia in every bite, the seasonal must-have serves as a gooey, no-bake treat, and festive candy dish décor with red, green, and white lentils,” press materials said.

Although Mars is making this announcement now, the M&M’s Sugar Cookie flavor won’t be available on store shelves until November. But don’t get too upset about counting down the days! Shaquille O’Neal And Papa John’s Release ‘Shaq-A-Roni’ Pizza 

On Monday, Papa John’s and Shaquille O’Neal announced the launch of a pizza designed by the basketball legend himself.

The “Shaq-a-Roni” pizza is an extra-large pizza with extra cheese and extra pepperoni cut into eight slices instead of the usual ten, featuring what Papa John’s describes as its “largest slice size to date.”

“It was important to me for the Shaq-a-Roni to be bigger than just pizza. By giving my new pie a try, one dollar will be donated to The Papa John’s Foundation for Building Community to support COVID-19 relief, the fight against racial injustice, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, UNCF (United Negro College Fund) and general community involvement,” O’Neal said in the press release.

The pizza chain will donate one dollar for every pizza sold to the Papa John’s Foundation through August 23.

O’Neal joined the board of directors at Papa John’s in March 2019, when the chain announced a three-year $8.25 million endorsement deal with the former athlete. O’Neal also announced his investment in nine Papa John’s restaurants. The “Shaq-a-Roni” pizza’s release comes just three months after the anniversary of the endorsement deal.

If you’re thinking that the “Shaq-a-Roni” pizza just looks like a big pepperoni pizza without an edge crust cut into eight slices instead of ten, you’d be wrong. Each order of a “Shaq-a-Roni” pizza also comes with a Snapchat augmented-reality experience, which Papa John’s describes as a “3-D surprise.” Guests can access the AR experience by scanning the QR code on the pizza box in Snapchat.
