Apple AirPower Charging Mat Set To Debut In 2018

Alongside its wireless charging-capable iPhone 8, 8 Plus and X models, Apple showed off its upcoming AirPower charging mat during yesterday’s keynote. While the accessory won’t be available until next year, it will be large enough to allow users to charge iPhones, Apple Watches and AirPods on a single pad (provided users have the new compatible AirPods case).

The company didn’t say how much the charging pad will cost or a specific release date, only saying customers will see it sometime in 2018.

Apple TV 4K

Apple today introduced the new Apple TV 4K designed to deliver a stunning cinematic experience at home. With support for both 4K and High Dynamic Range (HDR), Apple TV 4K features unbelievably sharp, crisp images, richer, more true-to-life colors, and far greater detail in both dark and bright scenes. With Apple TV 4K, viewers can enjoy a growing selection of 4K HDR movies on iTunes. iTunes users will get automatic upgrades of HD titles in their existing iTunes library to 4K HDR versions when they become available. Apple Sends Out Press Invites For September 12 Event At Apple Park

Apple has sent out media invites for its annual fall event, being held Tuesday, September 12 at 10:00 a.m. in the Steve Jobs Theatre at the company’s new Apple Park campus in Cupertino.

Based on recent rumours, Apple is expected to debut three new iPhone models; two modest “S” model upgrades to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus alongside a radically redesigned premium iPhone with an edge-to-edge OLED display and facial recognition capabilities. Reports also suggest that Apple will unveil a third-generation Apple Watch with cellular capabilities and a new 4K-capable Apple TV set-top box. The company is also expected to announce public availability of iOS 11, tvOS 11, watchOS 4, and macOS High Sierra.
