This Friday, February 22nd, Raised by Rainbows, a solo show from Luke Flowers will open at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles. The artist will be present at the opening and the remaining editions will be available online the following day!
For the 12th consecutive year Gallery 1988 will open Crazy 4 Cult, the original movie themed art show.
This year, come see over 200 artists participate and pay homage to their favorite cult films. It’s a show that has spawned two published books and hundreds of memorable pieces to help usher in an entire movement of pop art.
This year’s installment includes paintings, prints, sculptures, cross stitch, plush and pins. Work will first be available at the opening on Friday December 7th from 7-10PM, then remaining work will be online for purchase Saturday afternoon at gallery1988.com.
Two years in the making, the official collaborative art show between Gallery1988 and WWE will open. Utilizing both rooms of the gallery, one side will house a large group show with almost 100 artists creating pieces inspired by the superstars of today and yesterday, while the other will be the newest solo show (of paintings and prints) from black velvet artist Bruce White. At one time thought to be impossible, this art show will be epic.
All in conjunction with Survivor Series, taking place Sunday at Staples Center, the artwork will first be available for purchase at the gallery and then online November 17 at gallery1988.com.
This rare exhibit will run through Saturday, December 1. Gallery1988 is located at 7308 Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles.
These will be editions of 150 and only sold as sets of 5 for $85. The set contains the showdowns The Bowl, The Pilots, The Water Child, The Broom, and The Bus. They will go on sale Friday Nov. 9th at 12 noon PST! These will only be sold at the Gallery 1988 shop and will not be sold in theScottCShop.

Tom Whalen’s and Dave Perillo’s newest art show Versus will feature pop culture rivalries. The show will open this Friday, June 8th at 7PM at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles. There are close to 50 sets of prints and each set of prints comes in an edition of 40.

One of Gallery 1988’s most highly anticipated shows of the year opens tomorrow night (May 18, 2018) from 7-9 PM at G1988. It’s the return of Cuyler Smith’s Trading Cards show! The collection of new actual cards for this third annual exhibit is better than ever. As these limited edition cards mostly sell out, the gallery is encouraging collectors to attend the opening reception.
Cuyler will be in attendance to unveil his new cards paying tribute to fictitious pop culture athletes, and selling a limited edition pack – with a special card only available in this format – and if you buy the whole series.

Jerrod Maruyama has teamed up with Oh Sew Nerdy for his very first Two-Person art show opening at Gallery 1988 March 23rd! The opening reception will take place on Friday March 23rd from 7:00 -9:00 PM. Both artists will be at the gallery that night to kick off this super-fun exhibition.
Jerrod has been waiting a long time to showcase some exciting properties such as The Breakfast Club, Ghostbusters and Stranger Things.
There will be a very limited number of prints available for each image and framed pieces will also be available for purchase. Plus there will be a giveaway with each purchase to the first few customers on opening night!
Oh Sew Nerdy will be bringing his unique combination of cross-stitch and pop culture goodness. He’s got a bunch of one-of-a-kind pieces that are just so clever and ready to hang!

Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles has announced a Fake Theme Parks Art Show that will open on January 12, 2018. The show is curated by Chogrin and will feature art from 50 artists from all over the world.
The exhibition will pay tribute to theme parks that only exist in movies, television and video games! The show will run until January 27, 2018.
