Pizza Hut Blockbuster Projector Box

pizza-hut-blockbuster-box-movie-projector

Ad agency Ogilvy & Mather Group HK and their Chief Creative Officer Reed Collins crafted the Blockbuster Box, which allows you to convert a pizza delivery box into a small film projector because movies and pizza were made for each other

The innovative packaging solution takes something you would normally throw out into something you want to keep.

Pizza-Hut-projector-01

The secret to each Blockbuster Box is the special pizza table that comes inside each box, which helps prevent the center of the box from touching your pizza and is traditionally made of plastic. The pizza table inside the special Blockbuster Boxes features a lens as part of the design, however, which you can insert into the side of the box after you punch out the perforated hole.

Once you’ve inserted the lens into the side of the pizza box, you’ll then need a smartphone to power the experience. Placing your smartphone in the center of the Blockbuster Box, the lens will magnify your smartphone’s display and project it onto the wall.

Available in 4 tasty designs based on romance, action, sci-fi and horror movie genres – there is a pizza box for everyone to enjoy.

First Twinkies and now this…

As part of an overhaul of its logo and packaging, the 65-year-old Bazooka bubblegum is replacing its red, white and blue color scheme and dropping the tiny Bazooka Joe comic strip that’s wrapped each piece of the pink candy since 1953.

The new fuchsia and yellow with graffiti-inspired splattered paint packaging will begin arriving in stores in January as part of an effort by Topps Company subsidiary Bazooka Candy Brands to revive plummeting sales (from $17 million in 2007 to a projected $8.8 million this year).

The new design is already a hit among retailers, with Target, 7-Eleven and Kroger now agreeing to stock the gum in early 2013.
