21 Royal, A New Private Dining Experience At Disneyland

getimage-gif

Imagine hosting an extraordinary dinner party in the heart of Disneyland Park, in a private residence once envisioned by Walt and Lillian Disney as a secluded family retreat and a luxurious oasis in which to host celebrities and dignitaries.

Some five decades later, the Disneys’ vision has come to fruition. Their original designs for this one-of-a-kind space have been faithfully and painstakingly recreated—only this time as the site of an unforgettable epicurean experience. Welcome to 21 Royal.

On the evening of your 21 Royal experience, your guests will arrive at the majestic Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, where they will be greeted by the hotel’s valets. Once your entire party has assembled, they will be given a VIP escort to the site of the evening’s festivities.

Legendary Disney service is on display from the moment your guests are welcomed by the 21 Royal staff. First, signature cocktails are served by professional butlers in the salon, then everyone is invited out to the patio for a casual reception. You and your guests will also have time to explore the different rooms—and discover some of their more magical features.

Then it’s time for dinner. You and your guests take your seats around a lavish table covered in white linens, fresh flowers and set with gold-plated dinnerware and fine crystal. This is when the evening’s adventure really begins—as a fascinating tale unfolds told through fine food and drink.

In true Disney fashion, you can end your evening with a grand finale—dessert on the private balcony, where you and your guests are treated to a spectacular view of the Rivers of America, and on certain nights, prime viewing of the park’s nighttime entertainment.

Using your chosen theme for the evening as inspiration, the team thoughtfully prepares a menu that weaves together a tapestry of imaginative dishes that combine to tell a tale that is uniquely yours. The result is Disney storytelling at its delicious best.

To obtain the freshest and finest ingredients available, the chefs work directly with premier suppliers—both local and international—including farmers, fishermen and other sustainable sources.

By combining these ingredients with skillful techniques and time-honored traditions, then matching them with the perfect pairings from the extensive 21 Royal wine collection, your culinary team creates a symphony of innovative dishes that are dazzling in both flavor and appearance.

The cost for this royal experience with a minimum party of 12 is $15,000 including tax, gratuity, valet and park admission.

Olive Garden Announces Breadstick Sandwiches Coming This Summer

1

Starting June 1, 2015 Olive Garden patrons will be able to order chicken parmigiana or meatball sandwiches made with their popular breadsticks.

“We’re always looking to evolve our menu,” explains Olive Garden spokeswoman Jessica Dinon. “We’re always bringing on new items, and right now we’re really taking those dishes our guests know and love and giving them more ways to enjoy it. Obviously people love our breadsticks.”

The sandwich breadsticks will be wider, to accommodate the filling. But other than that size change, the recipe and taste will stay the same, says Dinon. Diners will still receive an unlimited supply of breadsticks with their sandwiches, just as they do with any other selection on the menu, along with soup or salad.

Taco Bell Launches U.S. Taco Inc., A Fast Casual Taco Restaurant In Huntington Beach California

Taco Bell Corp. has launched a new fast-casual taco concept designed to capture diners who are not likely to step foot in a Taco Bell. Named U.S. Taco Co. and Urban Taproom, the new concept recently opened in Huntington Beach, Calif., offering a simple lineup of 10 premium tacos, thick-cut fries and shakes. Future locations will also include a menu of craft beer and wine. Designed by a team of young Taco Bell executives in a “secret war room” at the chain’s Irvine, Calif.-based headquarters, the new concept is nothing like the mothership brand — except that tacos are on the menu.

And rather than going for an authentic Mexican theme, the new concept will tap regional American flavors, offering a playful menu of premium tacos in the fusion style of food trucks or the contemporary taquerias of Dallas or San Francisco’s Mission district.

Customers will be able to watch their food being made inside the glass-enclosed area next to the ordering counter. The restaurant, meant to attract higher-income foodies, will have an outdoor patio.

Burger King New Fries: Lower Calorie, Crinkle-Cut ‘Satisfries’ Added To Menu

After unveiling its $1 French fry burger, Burger King isn’t done adding items to its menu. In an effort to add healthier options, BK announced its new lower calorie, crinkle-cut fries, “Satisfries,” on Monday.

“Satisfries” contain 190 calories and 8 grams of fat, which Burger King said is 30 percent fewer calories and 40 percent less fat than a serving of rival McDonald’s fries. The new fries have 270 calories, compared with 340 for a small order of regular fries.

The fries will hit Burger Kings on Tuesday at just 30 cents more than a regular order of French fries; “Satisfries” will cost $1.89 compared to $1.59 for regular fries.

“Satisfries” have fewer calories and less fat thanks to a new batter recipe and a crinkle-cut that doesn’t absorb as much oil in the frying process, the company said.

Burger King, though, said customers and fast food lovers alike will notice no difference in taste. The Daily Beast, which posted a review of the fries, agreed.

The impact of adding these fries will be huge since one in two Burger King customers order fries, for 56 million orders monthly. The move comes as consumer advocate groups pressure the U.S. food and beverage industry, especially fast-food chains, to offer healthier alternatives, since one-third of Americans are obese, Reuters reported.

Last month, Burger King unveiled its new “French Fry Burger,” costing $1 that consists of a standard burger topped with four French fries.

GuyFieri-0179-PKG_resized

Bryan Mytko, a New York-based programmer has built a parody website of Guy Fieri’s eatery at GuysAmericanKitchenAndBar.com that’s gone viral. The real website is GuysAmerican.com.

The spoof site shows a fake menu that includes items like “Guy’s Big Balls,” which are described as “two 4-pound Rice-A-Roni crusted mozzarella balls endangered with shaved lamb and pork and blasted with Guy’s signature Cadillac Cream sauce.”

Also listed is the “38 oz of super-saddened, Cheez-gutted wolf meat” for $49.95.

If you want to take a look at the real menu to Fieri’s actual New York City restaurant, click HERE. There you will find “Guy-Talian Nachos” and “Ain’t No Thang But a Chicken Wing”.
