Watch The Live Action Lady And The Tramp Trailer

Walt Disney Pictures has revealed the first trailer for Lady and the Tramp, the live-action remake of the classic animated film coming to the Disney+ platform. Featuring the titular romantic couple, voiced by Tessa Thompson and Justin Theroux.

Lady and the Tramp tells the story of an American Cocker Spaniel named Lady who lives with an upper-middle-class family but is set astray when the family has a baby. Lady ends up meeting a mongrel known as the Tramp on the streets. They embark on a romantic journey and eventually fall in love.

The film stars Tessa Thompson (Sorry to Bother You, Men In Black) as Lady, Justin Theroux (The Spy Who Dumped Me) as the Tramp, Thomas Mann (Kong: Skull Island) as Jim Dear, Kiersey Clemons (Flatliners) as Jim’s wife Darling, Ashley Jensen (The Lobster, Hysteria) as Jackie the Scottish Terrier, Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange) voicing Bull, an English bulldog, Sam Elliott as the voice of Trusty the Bloodhound, Janelle Monae as the voice of Peg the Pekingese, Yvette Nicole Brown as Aunt Sarah, Adrian Martinez as Elliot and Arturo Castro as Marco.

Charlie Bean (The LEGO Ninjago Movie, Tron Uprising) will be directing the live-action/CG hybrid film from a script by Andrew Bujalski. Aside from Mann and Clemons, most of the cast will play CGI characters as we have seen in recent Disney adaptations such as Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast.

The upcoming live-action remake is slated to debut on November 12 on Disney’s upcoming streaming service Disney+.

Watch The Mandalorian Trailer

During D23 Expo 2019, Disney+ and Lucasfilm revealed the trailer for their first live-action Star Wars TV series, The Mandalorian.

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

Pedro Pascal (Kingsman: The Golden Circle) will star as a lone Mandalorian gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy and will be joined by Gina Carano (Deadpool) who plays Cara Dune, a former Rebel Shock Trooper, having trouble re-integrating herself into society.; and Carl Weathers as Greef, a man who heads a guild of bounty hunters that hires The Mandalorian for a specific job.

Also set to star in the series are Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Emily Swallow (Supernatural), Carl Weathers (Predator), Omid Abtahi (American Gods), Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man) and Nick Nolte (Affliction).

Jon Favreau serves as executive producer and showrunner for the series, Directors for the first season include Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels), who will be directing the first episode, plus Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates) and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok), who will also provide the voice for bounty hunter IG-88 in the series.

The Mandalorian will be executive produced by Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist will serve as co-executive producer. The series will premiere on Disney+ when the service launches on November 12.

Will Ferrell Performs Stand-Up Comedy As Ron Burgundy On 6 Late Night Shows In One Night

Anchorman star Will Ferrell performed stand-up comedy as his character Ron Burgundy on six different talk shows, coast to coast — all on Thursday night.

Just in time for the second season premiere of “The Ron Burgundy Podcast,” Ferrell appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “Late Night With Seth Meyers,” “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon,” “The Late Late Show With James Corden,” “Conan” and “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.” During his visits the actor took to the stage with six completely different, but equally cringe-worthy comedy sets, Ron Burgundy-style.

The second season of “The Ron Burgundy Podcast” drops on Friday on iHeartRadio with its first guest, Sen. Kamala Harris.

Disney Announces $12.99 Bundle For Disney+, Hulu, And ESPN+

Disney will offer a bundle package of its three streaming services — Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ — for $12.99 a month starting on November 12th, the company announced this week.

CEO Bob Iger made it official during the company’s investors call. At $12.99, the bundle will cost less or is on par with competitive streaming services, including Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. It’s also significantly cheaper than HBO Max’s rumored streaming price of $16-$17 a month. Hulu is currently available for $5.99 a month (with ads), and ESPN+ costs $4.99 a month. 

ESPN+ is the Disney-owned sports streaming platform, which carries hundreds of MLB, NHL and MLS games, Grand Slam tennis, Top Rank boxing, PGA Tour golf, college sports, international rugby, cricket, the full library of ESPN Films including 30 for 30, and more. It’s also now the streaming destination for UFC fights.

Disney+ will launch on November 12, 2019.

Watch DC Universe’s Titans Season 1 Recap & First Look At Season 2

DC Universe has posted a season 1 recap of Titans and a first look at season 2.

Season 2 will feature Joshua Orpin as Conner Kent/Superboy, Esai Morales as Deathstroke, Chella Man as Deathstroke’s son, Jericho Wilson, Chelsea T. Zhang as Deathstroke’s daughter, Rose Wilson (aka The Ravager), Iain Glen as Bruce Wayne, Natlie Gumede as Mercy Graves and Drew Van Acker as Aqualad.

Titans follows a group of young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic Teen Titans franchise. Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, a special young girl possessed by a strange darkness, get embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring Hell on Earth. Joining them along the way are the hot-headed Starfire and loveable Beast Boy. Together they become a surrogate family and team of heroes.

The series stars Brenton Thwaites (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) as Dick Grayson/Robin, Teagan Croft (Home and Away) as Raven, Anna Diop (24: Legacy) as Koriand’r/Starfire, Alan Ritchson (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) & Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights) as Hawk and Dove, Bruno Bichir as Dr. Niles Caulder, and Lindsey Gort as Police Detective Amy Rohrbach.

From Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, Titans is one of the all-new exclusive original live-action series coming soon to DC Universe. It comes from executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter.

In the action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven and many others. Fans can expect the series to be a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever.

Titans is available to stream exclusively on DC Universe. Season 2 premieres on September 6.

The Little Mermaid Live To Air On ABC November 5

To honor the 30th anniversary of one of the most beloved Disney films of all time, The Wonderful World of Disney and ABC are proud to present a spectacular, live musical event showcasing “The Little Mermaid.” 

This special tribute to the original animated classic and its timeless music will take viewers on a magical adventure under the sea as live musical performances by a star-studded cast will be interwoven into the broadcast of the original feature film. This never-before-seen hybrid format will feature beautifully intricate sets and costumes, with music from the original animated film and the Tony Award-winning Broadway stage version, originally composed by eight-time Oscar-winning composer, Alan Menken. Howard Ashman’s iconic film lyrics will also be showcased, while lyricist for the Broadway adaptation, Glenn Slater, will contribute to the star-studded spectacular. “The Wonderful World of Disney presents The Little Mermaid Live!” will air Tuesday, November 5 (8:00 – 10:00 p.m. EST), live on ABC.

Following her breakout role as the voice of Moana in the Walt Disney Pictures film “Moana,” Auli’i Cravalho will make a splash as Ariel in the live studio production of “The Wonderful World of Disney presents The Little Mermaid Live!” Oscar-nominated, and GRAMMY, Golden Globe® and Emmy Award-winning R&B artist, actor and producer Queen Latifah is set to play Ursula. Renowned reggae musician, singer, DJ, actor and GRAMMY-winning artist Shaggy will voice the beloved crustacean, Sebastian, in this musical reinterpretation. Additional cast announcements will be made at a later date.

“The Wonderful World of Disney presents The Little Mermaid Live!” is produced by Done+Dusted. Executive producers include Done+Dusted’s Hamish Hamilton, who will also direct, Katy Mullan, David Jammy, Raj Kapoor and Ian Stewart. Also executive producing is Richard Kraft, producer and director of the acclaimed Hollywood Bowl productions of “The Little Mermaid” and “Beauty and the Beast.”
