The Cartoon Art Museum, the only museum in the western United States dedicated to all forms of cartoons and comics, is delighted to host its ninth annual benefit at Pixar Animation Studios on Saturday, May 17, 2014, from 3 to 8 p.m. Beginning with the 1986 release of its iconic short film Luxo Jr. to last year’s box office hit Monsters University, Pixar has charmed the world with its incredible computer animated creations. You may purchase special Pixar apparel and merchandise at the Studio Store as well as bid on original and signed art by Pixar animators and other auction prizes. The event also features a 10th anniversary celebration of the Academy Award-winning feature The Incredibles with several of the film’s creators in the studio’s state-of-the-art theater hosted by Dr. Michael B. Johnson (Pixarian and CAM board member), who will lead a Q&A session with the filmmakers in the Steve Jobs Theater, including:
– Brad Bird, Director
– Mark Andrews, Head of Story
– Tony Fucile, Supervising Animator
– Andrew Jimenez, Director of Photography
– Ted Mathot, Storyboard Artist
– Kevin O’Brien, Storyboard Artist
