Universal Monsters Art Exhibit Coming To Mondo Gallery On January 19, 2018

The Mondo Gallery is hosting Universal Studio’s classic monsters January 19, 2018 through January 27.

“Ever since our original Universal Studios’ Monsters show in 2012, we always knew we’d love to revisit it with a handful of fresh, new posters,” said Mitch Putnam, Mondo creative director, in a statement. “We’ve got a bunch of our favorite artists tackling some of the most thrilling films of all time, so this one is kind of a dream come true.”

Here’s the lineup of artists contributing work that was inspired by the monsters that rose to prominence through films made in the 1920s through 1950s: Jonathan Burton, Sam Wolfe Connelly, Francesco Francavilla, Ken Garduno, Brandon Holt, Matthew Peak, Phantom City Creative, Eric Powell, Gary Pullin, Greg Ruth, Jessica Seamans, Stan & Vince, Ken Taylor, Matt Ryan Tobin and Bruce White.

Mondo Gallery is located at 4115 Guadalupe St. in Austin, Texas.

Universal Monsters Blu-ray Steelbooks Featuring Art By Alex Ross

Universal Studios celebrates the career of world renowned illustrator Alex Ross with this limited run of beautiful black and white SteelBook cases. Each of the seven titles features a gorgeous illustration with only the artist’s signature on the front of the case.

The collection includes: Dracula, The Mummy, The Wolf Man, The Invisible Man, Frankenstein, The Bride Of Frankenstein, The Creature From The Black Lagoon.

Alex Ross To Release Universal Classic Monsters Set At 2017 San Diego Comic Con

Alex Ross has turned his attention to the Universal Monsters. Just in time for Halloween, Ross has released a sneak preview of his Classic Universal Monsters Set, which will be officially unveiled, in full, at next year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

In addition to a monster mash collecting them all together, Ross has painted individual pieces of each of the iconic monsters in Universal’s oeuvre, both in black & white and color tinted editions.

The set will include:

– (Bela Lugosi) Dracula – 1931
– (Elsa Lanchester) Bride of Frankenstein – 1935
– Creature from the Black Lagoon – 1954
– (Boris Karloff) The Mummy – 1932

Dark Hall Mansion To Release Universal Monster 7 Print Set By Nicolas Delort On October 13, 2015

Dark Hall Mansion is proud to release its officially licensed “Universal Classic Monsters” limited edition 7-print set by leading contemporary artist, Nicolas Delort, and
on sale Tuesday, October 13, 2015.

Each individual print in DHM’s Nicolas Delort 7-print set measures 18″ x 24,” is hand numbered, and screen printed. The Standard edition set is printed per Nicolas’ hand crafted B&W approach while his Variant’s hue is richly toned and deliberately vintage in feel. There is also a very limited foil edition based on either the Standard or Variant colorway, plus the most select series, only 10 editions, a complete run of all 7 of Nicolas’s “Universal Classic Monsters” pieces individually screened on wood.

Funko is bringing the legendary Universal Monsters to life in a new Pop! series!

Dracula, Frankenstein, The Bride of Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, The Mummy, Creature From the Black Lagoon, Metaluna Mutant and The Phantom of The Opera will hit shelves in September.

MONDO Pretty Things Float Poster By JC Richard Surprise Midnight Release

MONDO just surprised their fans with a midnight release of a Pretty Things Float poster by JC Richard. The Frankenstein image was first unveiled at MONDO’s Universal Monsters gallery show last October as an original but MONDO decided to turn it into a 8″x24″ screen print.

The poster is hand numbered in an edition of 375 and printed by D&L Screenprinting.

Dark Hall Mansion is simply howling this Halloween season to announce its latest officially licensed release: DHM’s “Universal Monsters x SHAG” Folio by leading contemporary artist SHAG.


Dark Hall Mansion, working with Universal Pictures Group, is proud to offer its one of a kind SHAG thriller, the “Universal Monsters x SHAG” Folio, an exclusive, officially licensed, limited edition 10-Print Folio that any horror collector or SHAG fan will be sure to appreciate.

A singular Folio like no other, SHAG has brought Universal’s legendary Classic Monsters to life in his trademark style, incorporating legends Frankenstein, The Mummy, Dracula, The Wolf Man, Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Invisible Man, and a not to be missed Bride of Frankenstein, all, within a landscape that marries timeless horror films with characters that show us just how cool they were and forever will be.

Artist SHAG has crafted a Folio of 8 stunning individual 18″ x 24″ prints, plus one rather mind bending 2-print splash page panoramic that won’t soon be forgotten.

Each print will be individually numbered and signed by SHAG himself, each measuring 18″ x 24″ with full borders and an image area of 14.5″ x 20.5″ and with all prints being individually screen printed.
