Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first official Wonder Woman poster featuring star Gal Gadot as the title hero!

Wonder Woman stars Gal Gadot (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), Chris Pine (Star Trek), Robin Wright (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Netflix’s “House of Cards”), Danny Huston (Clash of the Titans, X-Men Origins: Wolverine), David Thewlis (the Harry Potter films, The Theory of Everything), Ewen Bremner (Exodus: Gods and Kings, Snowpiercer), Saïd Taghmaoui (American Hustle), Elena Anaya (The Skin I Live In), Connie Nielsen (Gladiator, Nymphomaniac: Vol. I) and Lucy Davis (Shaun of the Dead).

Directed by Patty Jenkins, the film is being produced by Charles Roven, Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder, with Richard Suckle, Stephen Jones, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and Rebecca Roven serving as executive producers.

Following the Wonder Woman movie, Gadot’s next film as Diana Prince will be Justice League, which is already well into production. She will star alongside Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, and Jason Momoa in the Zack Snyder-directed film.

Wonder Woman is set to open in theaters on June 2, 2017.

Check Out LEGO’s Wonder Woman Statue For San Diego Comic-Con

A life-size version of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, one of the most iconic heroines of all time, will be on display in LEGO brick form at Comic Con next week.

To mark the character’s 75th anniversary and her upcoming solo movie, DC is pulling out all the stops, including displays of Lynda Carter’s 1970s Wonder Woman TV costume and Gadot’s costume for the upcoming feature film. Gadot will also be on hand to sign autographs.

The most staggering sight will likely be a massive, life-sized Lego statue of Wonder Woman. The model stands a shade over 6’1″ and contains 22,736 Lego bricks, weighing 138 pounds with its circular base. It took 99 hours to design and another 218 hours to build.

First Look At The Amazons In New Wonder Woman Photo

This Friday, Gal Gadot will make her debut as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but next summer she’ll star in her own movie, a long time coming for the oldest female superhero in comics. Warner Bros. Pictures via Entertainment Weekly has released a new Wonder Woman photo showing off the Amazons from the upcoming film, including first looks at Diana’s mother, Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen), and her two aunts General Antiope (Robin Wright) and Antiope’s lieutenant, Menalippe (Lisa Loven Kongsli).

“Themyscira is influenced by the Greek but it’s clearly more then that,” producer Charles Roven tells EW. “It’s a place that has the ‘you’ve never been to’ kind of feel. But once you’re there you’re not so sure you really want to leave so fast.” ​

“To me, they shouldn’t be dressed in armor like men,” director Patty Jenkins says of their armor. “It should be different. It should be authentic and real—and appealing to women.”

Wonder Woman, Shazam & Green Lantern/Flash Team-Up Projects Rumored

A rumored lineup of DC Comics feature films has hit today at the just-launched NikkiFinke.com, suggesting that, at July’s Comic-Con International, Warner Bros. will officially announce their superhero slate through 2018!

Following Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on May 6, 2016, will be, according to Finke, a Shazam! solo film in July 2016, the Joseph Gordon-Levitt Sandman film the following December, Zack Snyder’s Justice League in May 2017, a Wonder Woman film in July 2017, a surprise Flash and Green Lantern team-up film Christmas of 2017 and a direct Man of Steel sequel in May 2018!

Finke goes on to claim that Justice Leaguers appearing in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice include, in addition to Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Cyborg, the Flash and a non-Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern. She also suggests that Aquaman will debut in Justice League.

Gal Gadot Cast As Wonder Woman In Zach Snyder’s Batman Vs. Superman

Warner Bros. has announced this morning that Gal Gadot, most well known for appearing in the “Fast & Furious” films, has landed the role of Wonder Woman/Diane Prince in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Batman vs. Superman film.

In a statement, Zack Snyder stated: “Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.”

Batman vs. Superman will feature the return of Henry Cavill as Superman, facing off against Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Also starring Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne, the Zack Snyder-directed Batman vs. Superman hits theaters on July 17, 2015.
