MTV announced late Friday that it has ordered a second season of Jersey Shore, its controversial yet wildly successful reality show about a group of youths who rent a beach house. The network ordered 12 more episodes that will begin airing this summer. The plan is to follow season 1’s Pauly D, Mike, Snooki, Jenni, Sammi, Ronnie, and Vinny as they “escape the cold northeast and find themselves in a new destination,” according to a network statement.
“Our audience has fallen in love with Jersey Shore and its amazing cast who have really grown together as a family,” said Tony DiSanto, MTV’s president of programming, in a statement. “That bond gives the show its heart, and we’re thrilled to reunite these friends.”
Shore was the No. 1 original cable series in January among persons 12-34. The Season Finale attracted an impressive 4.8 rating in the key demo — a 30 percent jump over the previous series high. MTV plans to air the complete first season before the Super Bowl kickoff on Feb. 7, beginning at 9 a.m.
I think that this is the best show that I have ever saw its so amazing that I thought that it was really and then I continued to watch it and then I know that it was real and amazing
Wow…Ralyn if you’re the average viewer for this pathetic show, no wonder it was renewed.
I am so excited that they will be back, they made for the best TV this past summer, I just want to see way more drama and less of who is in love in the house i want to see the hookups outside of the houswe
At first when they just brought everyone together people were like “yeah lets hang out together”, later they started to hang out in a small groups and in the end they all hated each other 🙂 I cant wait for part 2
Television has reached an all time low……….and that was not easy to accomplish.

its the only relity show that actually touched my heart.
