Bose Home Speaker 500

Powered by Alexa, the Home Speaker 500 is Bose’s first entry into the smart speaker market. Its seamless anodized aluminum body stands just eight inches tall and under seven inches wide, yet produces what the company claims is the widest soundstage of any smart speaker, using two custom drivers pointed in opposite directions to bounce sound off the walls.

Alexa is activated by proprietary mics like the ones found in the company’s headsets and headphones, and the speaker also supports Bluetooth streaming, Spotify, Pandora, and other popular Internet-based services, and AirPlay 2, complete with a screen up front for showing artist/station information and album art.
