The Stunning Art of Tony Stella

Tony Stella’s hand-crafted movie posters have attracted the attention of art collectors and movie fans from all over the world. The self-taught artist began by creating movie posters for a friend’s movie club. The Italian-born, Berlin-based artist is a true connoisseur of cinema as well as a prodigious and prolific artist

As a movie aficionado, like so many other teens in the 1980s, Stella began to adorn his personal VHS collection with covers that resembled the store-bought copies.

The artist began sharing his work online in 2013 and the Twitter film community responded extremely positively. As his fame grew, the artist was able to work on dream projects such as the 50th-anniversary poster for Sergio Corbucci’s “The Great Silence” and a new LP version of William Friedkin’s “Sorcerer.”

His latest masterpiece is the new Indiana Jones And The Dial of Destiny poster that was released today at Star Wars Celebration Europe. Film poster buffs will remember the wonderful earlier one sheets by renowned artist, Drew Struzan and I feel that Stella raised the bar with his latest homage to the beloved archeologist adventurer.
