Batman: Gotham By Gaslight Is WB’s Next Animated Movie 

Warner Bros.’ next animated movie will be Batman: Gotham by Gaslight.

Originally published in 1989, Gotham by Gaslight tells the “What if” story of a 19th century Caped Crusader who comes face to face with the Butcher of Whitechapel. It’s Batman vs. Jack the Ripper written by Brian Augustyn and illustrated by the creator of Hellboy, Mike Mignola.

The back box art for Batman and Harley Quinn lists “A Sneak Peek at DC Universe’s Next Animated Movie: Batman: Gotham by Gaslight” as one of the special features.

The Lion King Walt Disney Signature Collection To Be Released On Digital August 15 & On Blu-ray August 29

It was announced today at D23 Expo that in August, one of the biggest animated films in history—“The Lion King”—joins the highly celebrated Walt Disney Signature Collection. The coming-of-age masterpiece, filled with humor and heart, breathtaking animation and soul-stirring Academy Award–winning music (1994: Best Original Score and Best Original Song, “Can You Feel the Love Tonight”), arrives on Digital on August 15 and on Blu-ray and DVD on August 29.

Audiences will fall in love all over again with the treasured classic, and a new generation of fans will laugh with Timon and Pumbaa, cry with Simba and Mufasa, burst into song, and find their place in the “Circle of Life.” The Walt Disney Signature Collection release includes over three hours of classic bonus material and exclusive,  brand new features inviting viewers to sing along with the film’s award-winning music, observe recording sessions, step inside the story room, witness the evolution of a villain, and join Nathan Lane (voice of Timon) and Matthew Broderick (voice of Adult Simba) for an extended conversation regarding the legacy of “The Lion King.”

“The Lion King” follows the adventures of Simba, a feisty lion cub who cannot wait to be king, as he searches for his destiny in the great “Circle of Life.” The film earned a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture—Comedy or Musical and inspired a Tony Award-winning Broadway musical that is currently the third longest-running musical in Broadway history. In 2019, a reimagined live-action film, helmed by Jon Favreau, will delight audiences with the thrilling retelling of the original tale utilizing groundbreaking technological advances—as only Disney can do.

“The Lion King” is the fifth title to join the Walt Disney Signature Collection, which includes groundbreaking films created or inspired by the imagination and legacy of Walt Disney, featuring timeless stories and characters that have touched generations. Warner Home Video To Release The King of Horror Blu-ray Collection On August 29, 2017

Warner Home Video will release the King of Horror Blu-ray Collection on August 29th. In horror one name reigns supreme…Stephen King!  Experience ultimate fear in one 4-film collection!

Salem’s Lot (1979) · Sinister events bring together a writer (David Soul), a suave antiques dealer (James Mason), and the dealer’s mysterious, pale-skinned “partner” (Reggie Nalder) in this bloodcurdling shocker.

The Shining (1980) · Jack Nicholson plays Jack Torrance, a writer acting as off-season caretaker for the Overlook Hotel with his wife (Shelly Duvall) and son (Danny Lloyd), in this ghostly time warp of madness and murder.

Marvel’s Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2 Arriving Digitally In HD On August 8 & Blu-ray On August 22

DC Universe Original Movies: 10th Anniversary Collection Arriving November 7, 2017

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and DC Entertainment celebrate a decade of heroic animation with the release of the DC Universe Original Movies: 10th Anniversary Collection, a comprehensive box set of all 30 films, 5 animated shorts, new special features and exclusive collectible items coming November 7, 2017 to Blu-ray. The entire 30-film set will also be available on Digital starting August 15, 2017.

Launched in 2007 with the landmark release of Superman Doomsday, the DC Universe Original Movies are based on or inspired by storylines and/or characters from within the ever-expanding DC library. Produced by DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation, the stories range from films based upon iconic DC Super Hero stories (Superman Doomsday, Justice League: The New Frontier, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Batman: The Killing Joke) to films inspired by themes from within DC history (Batman vs. Robin was inspired by “The Court of Owls,” Superman vs. The Elite was inspired by “What’s so Funny About Truth, Justice and the American Way?”) to original stories (Justice League: Gods and Monsters, Batman and Harley Quinn).

The DC Universe Original Movies: 10th Anniversary Collection will include all 30 films – from Superman Doomsday to the all-new Batman and Harley Quinn, as well as newly released commemorative editions of Wonder Woman and Justice League: The New Frontier. Batman And Harley Quinn Arrives On Blu-ray August 29th & Digital August 15th

A looming global catastrophe forces Batman and Nightwing to partner with an unlikely hero in Batman and Harley Quinn, the next entry in the popular series of DC Universe Original Movies. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment, the all-new, feature-length animated film arrives August 15 on Digital and August 29 on Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray Deluxe Giftset, Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD.

Spawned from an original story by animation icon Bruce Timm, Batman and Harley Quinn will be available in several popular formats as the first Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack ($44.98 SRP) release of a DC Universe Original Movie; Blu-ray Deluxe Giftset ($39.99 SRP), featuring an exclusive Harley Quinn figurine; Blu-ray Combo Pack ($24.98 SRP); DVD ($19.98 SRP); and Digital ($19.99 HD, $14.99 SD). Bambi To Be Re-Released As Part of Walt Disney Signature Collection

Disney has announced that Bambi will be released on home video again as part of the Walt Disney Signature collection.

This will be released to celebrate the film’s 75th anniversary, and will be released on Digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere on May 23th, and will be on DVD, Blu-ray, and On-Demand on June 6th.

The Collection includes new bonus materials including:

– The Bambi Effect: Take a look at how Bambi’s past innovations affected future Disney animated titles all the way up to today.

– Studio Stories: Bambi: Listen in on intimate moments when Walt Disney discusses the challenges, pitfalls, and triumphs during production of Bambi.

– Deleted scene, Bambi’s Ice and Snow: Bambi coaxes Thumper and his brothers and sisters to come play on the ice during the first snow.

– Deleted scene, The Grasshopper: A grasshopper confronts Bambi and Thumper and finds himself in quite a predicament.

– Bambi Fawn Facts: Discover some fun real-life facts about the creatures who live in the forest Bambi calls home.

– Oswald The Lucky Rabbit, Africa Before Dark: Enjoy the classic antics of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit in this short.

M. Night Shyamalan’s Split Coming To Blu-ray/DVD With Deleted Scenes, Alternate Ending

Universal Pictures announced that M. Night Shyamalan’s new thriller Split will be released on home video next month featuring deleted scenes and an alternate ending. It lands on digital platforms on April 4, with a Blu-ray/DVD release scheduled for April 18.

Other bonus features include a making-of mini-documentary, featuring the cast and crew talking about how they made the film. Another item is a feature called “The Many Faces of James McAvoy,” in which the actor talks about playing a man with 23 different personalities. Lastly, the home video version of Split includes a chapter where the producers, cast, and crew talk about Shyalaman’s filmmaking process and how it “gives them the freedom to executive their roles to the fullest.”

Get Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Early On March 24th On Digital HD & On Blu-ray April 4th

Announced today on The Star Wars Show and StarWars.com, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” will be coming home on Digital HD on March 24th and Blu-ray on April 4th.

This news comes on the heels of the start of production announcement of the untitled Han Solo Star Wars Story.  “Rogue One” has established its place within the Star Wars universe and the hearts of moviegoers, becoming the seventh highest-grossing film of all time in the U.S.

Arriving early on Digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere on March 24, and on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and On-Demand on April 4, the release includes never-before-seen “Rogue One” bonus material that will take fans behind the scenes with the movie’s diverse, dynamic cast and inspired team of filmmakers. An intimate collection of stories reveals how the film came to life, as well as hidden Easter Eggs and film facts that audiences may have missed in the theater.
