Jelly Belly Founder To Give Away One of His Candy Factories In Worldwide Treasure Hunt

Gold Tickets are being hidden worldwide for you to find. Have you heard of The Candyman? Not Willy Wonka, but a real-life Candyman. David Klein is the founder of The Jelly Belly jelly beans and now Tricky Treasures. David is getting ready to retire, but not before he has some fun and not before he gives back to everyone who loves the candy industry like he does.

David and his partner have started going across the USA hiding gold style tickets in the form of necklaces in places they come across with an interesting story. Plans are to have multiple treasure hunts for these gold tickets in each state. You can join one of their treasure hunts which are launching right now at www.TheGoldTicket.com.

The biggest and best part of these treasure hunts is that anyone who joins at least one treasure hunt, will be eligible to search for the ultimate treasure which will be the key to one of his candy factories and an all-expenses paid trip and education to a candy-making university. He will add this treasure hunt after all the states have had a chance to play. Each treasure hunt is valued at $5,000 and cost is only $49.99 to enter a hunt. Each treasure hunt has a strict limit of 1000 participants, no exceptions.

“With The Gold Ticket Treasure hunt, our goal is to get people out and about with their families. Grandma and Grandpa can even join with the kids and grandkids,” said David Klein, “The Candyman”. “Take videos of your treasure hunt experiences for possible inclusion in our upcoming series.”

Thanks for the tip Meredith!

The Kool-Aid Man Has Vanished

The Kool-Aid Man has disappeared. It’s quite the feat, given the large stature and typically boisterous demeanor, but everything is quiet and all walls are structurally sound. Is he safe? Keeping cool? Hydrated? No one can say for sure.

His disappearance is tied to a campaign focused on a new mystery flavor. Kraft Heinz is encouraging concerned citizens to visit koolaidmystery.com and help locate the Kool-Aid Man, who’s ostensibly out traveling the world in search of that secret ingredient. “Find the Man to Find the Flavor!” the website proclaims.

Participants who join the search between now and April 3 will be eligible to win prizes, including a $10,000 vacation. Kool-Aid Mystery Jammers—ready-to-serve drink pouches that contain the unknown flavor—are on shelves nationwide for $1.99 per pack of 10 pouches. Kraft Heinz will reveal the secret flavor, along with Kool-Aid Man’s whereabouts, on April 6.

FIRST And Star Wars: Force For Change Launch Build My Droid Contest

In the Star Wars galaxy, droids are some of the most loyal counterparts and reliable copilots around. From humanoid protocol droids to roly-poly astromechs, they come in all shapes and sizes.

And if you’ve ever dreamed of designing your own Star Wars droid, now’s your chance. StarWars.com is thrilled to announce the “Build My Droid” contest, an initiative launched by Star Wars: Force for Change and FIRST to inspire the next generation of heroes and innovators in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) and creative arts.

The global robotics community FIRST has teamed up with Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: Force for Change to give fans and artists ages 16 and up the chance to design a droid that could be included in a future story set in the Star Wars galaxy. And as the competition kicks off this week in the lead up to the highly anticipated final chapter in the Skywalker saga — Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker — the winning designer will also be invited to the film’s world premiere in December to proudly watch the public debut of their droid design, as it’s revealed on the red carpet.

The panel of judges for the contest will include Star Wars creature and special make-up effects supervisor Neal Scanlan; Lucasfilm vice president, creative producer John Swartz; Lucasfilm senior creative executive Pablo Hidalgo; celebrity Star Wars fan and STEM advocate Mayim Bialik; and Dean Kamen, FIRST founder and inventor of the LUKE Arm — a revolutionary prosthesis inspired by Luke Skywalker.

The contest launches October 22, 2019, and contestants must submit their droid design in the form of a sketch, drawing, or painting at starwars.com/buildmydroidcontest by November 13, 2019. Eligible countries include United States and Canada, excluding Quebec, Great Britain (England, Scotland, Wales Only), France, Spain, Belgium, Japan and Mexico.

FIRST inspires innovation and leadership through engaging, hands-on robotics challenges developed to ignite curiosity and passion in students in grade K-12. The support of FIRST is part of The Walt Disney Company’s commitment to provide inspiration and opportunity to the next generation of innovators. The 2020 FIRST RISE season is powered by Star Wars: Force for Change. Registration is open for all FIRST programs. Learn more at firstinspires.org/firstrise.

Ally Lucky Pennies Placed In 10 U.S. Cities May Be Worth $1,000 Each

allypenny_1476894690949_2182656_ver1-0

Ally announced that it has placed Ally Lucky Pennies that could be worth $1,000 each in 10 cities around the country. The initiative seeks to demonstrate the importance of valuing every cent, while encouraging Americans to look for opportunities to save. The multi-city search invites people in these cities to be on the lookout for the 100 Ally Lucky Pennies, each of which is redeemable for $1,000.

Beginning Tuesday October 18, 2016, people in Austin, Texas, Charlotte, N.C., Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, San Diego and Washington, D.C. can try to find the Ally Lucky Pennies in their cities. When found, Ally Lucky Pennies can be redeemed online from Oct.18 through Dec. 31, 2016 at AllyLuckyPenny.com. Finders can enter the redemption code located on the back of the Ally Lucky Penny on the site to begin verification as a potential prize winner. Clues to Ally Lucky Penny locations and updates on those already found will be provided on social media throughout the campaign.

“Ally’s Lucky Penny initiative is a great example of how we Do It Right for consumers by inviting them to be a part of the search, thus raising awareness and creating opportunities for new conversations about money,” said Andrea Riley, chief marketing officer. “We hope that people will have fun searching for Ally Lucky Pennies in their cities and that the campaign will inspire people to look at money in a different way.”

Ally interviewed passersby in some of the 10 participating markets and asked for their thoughts about picking up pennies off the street. The response was overwhelmingly one-sided. Ally Lucky Penny aims to influence perception around the value of a penny and cause consumers to think twice about leaving any money uncollected. The Ally Lucky Pennies placed in participating cities are slightly larger than a regular penny, with the Ally logo on the front and the number 100,000 on the back, signifying how many cents the Ally Lucky Penny could be worth.

“We believe every penny counts when it comes to saving, and it’s important for everyone to understand that routinely saving, even the smallest amounts, is important to generating wealth over time,” said Diane Morais, chief executive officer and president of the Ally Bank subsidiary. “As a relentless financial ally for our customers, we focus on offering customers competitive rates and minimal fees as a way to help their money work harder and incentivize good savings habits.”

To learn more about Ally Lucky Penny, and for clues and updates on the Ally Lucky Pennies and their locations, visit AllyLuckyPenny.com and follow the hashtag #AllyLuckyPenny on Twitter and Facebook.
